Brian Borts is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 30 years of experience. He became interested in working with people in the arts and entertainment community through his wife Tama Kossman who was a performing artist, choreographer, writer and teacher. Brian found working with arts and entertainment professionals challenging and rewarding and he also found he could bring added value to these entrepreneurial and small business clients by adapting the skills gained during his corporate experience and applying them to their unique fiscal challenges.
In October 2020, Brian retired from public practice and the day-to-day activities of working with clients. He maintains his contact with the artistic community by serving as Treasurer for charitable organizations such as The AFC, PAL Canada Foundation, and Eclipse Theatre Company.
In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, long-distance cycling and has taken up the game of golf (still learning.) His challenge now is to slow down and relax!
