Alan Goluboff

Director

Alan Goluboff graduated from Ryerson University’s Image Arts Department and dove into the business with excitement and abandon working as a camera assistant, electric, assistant director, producer, and director. He made his professional directorial debut on the series Destiny Ridge after years of working as a First Assistant Director on dozens of films & television programs across Canada, the US, and Europe. Goluboff went on to direct numerous episodes of Mutant X, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Twice in A Lifetime, Traders, Ready or Not, Cold Blood, Rabbit Fall, as well as continuing to work as a 1AD. On this front, he excelled on films as diverse as Porky’s, Kissinger & Nixon, Dirty Work, Silent Hill, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, K-19 the Widowmaker, Lucky Number Slevin, Strike!, and The Love Guru, to highlight only a few. Alan’s other television credits include The Mist, In Contempt, and Zeus. Recently, he directed Angels & Ornaments for the Hallmark Channel, which was seen by over five million viewers its first broadcast. Alan is currently pursuing his independent film projects Claus Encounter and Ex-Husband in Truck, both now in development.

Alan is well respected by his peers and within the industry, and he is committed to working to improve his colleagues’ well-being. He served as National President of the Directors Guild of Canada for eight years and is now in his fifth term as Chair of the Directors Guild of Canada Ontario.
