Financial Wellness Workshop: B.Y.O. Shoebox
Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 1-3:00 pm (ET) on Zoom
Whether you do your taxes yourself or hire an accountant, it is essential to have a system in place to ensure you are ready when the tax season comes around. Join Sunny Widerman of Personal Tax Advisors for a workshop that will help you get organized.
Sunny uses a friendly, low-jargon approach to help us understand how taxes work. In the workshop, she will shed light on things like what freelancers can deduct on taxes, when to register for a GST/HST number, and how to keep records to ensure we are prepared for the tax season, even if it is just a simple shoebox. And, for those who have received assistance from the Reactivation Program, Sunny will also talk about what to expect and plan for come tax time.
Ask all your lingering tax questions during the Q&A at the end of the workshop and get insightful, judgment-free advice from an expert who has worked in taxes since 2002.
Accessibility: ASL interpretation and closed captions. Please get in touch if you require additional accommodations.
This workshop is presented as part of The AFC’s Financial Wellness Program, which is made possible through the generous support from Richard Rooney and Laura Dinner.
