Emily Hill is the Case Manager with The AFC and a registered social worker. Having received her Master’s degree in Social Work from York University, Emily worked for several years with homeless and under-housed folks living with mental health and substance use issues in downtown Toronto. She then worked for a labour union for five years, representing social service workers in contract negotiations and workplace concerns.

At The AFC, Emily coordinates a range of mental health and wellness initiatives, including the Navigator referral service, efforts to expand access to mental health practitioners for people in the arts and entertainment industry, and teaching Mental Health First Aid. She also collaborates on and delivers workshops, presentations, and digital content focused on mental health and well-being. In addition, Emily provides direct support to clients through The AFC’s Emergency Financial Aid program.

Emily is an avid music, film, and TV enthusiast. Her love of the arts and entertainment fuels her passion for supporting the people behind them.
