Prime Time Challenge Update: EP Canada donates $5,000 to the Actors’ Fund of Canada

OTTAWA, ON – March 5, 2015 – EP Canada has accepted the challenge from the Canadian Media Production Association’s (CMPA) Chair Jamie Brown to show support for the work of the Actors’ Fund of Canada. Brown announced the Prime Time Challenge today at the CMPA’s Prime Time in Ottawa conference after announcing the $10,000 contribution from CMPA National and CMPA-BC.
EP Canada is the founding supporter of the Fund’s REEL Friends Voluntary Payroll Donation Program and President Cheryl Nex is delighted that EP Canada can continue its support for the Actors’ Fund of Canada with a contribution of $5,000. “EP Canada has been a proud partner in the work of the Actors’ Fund of Canada for many years and participating in the Prime Time Challenge is a great way to renew that support,” said Nex. “In the spirit of collaboration, we invite you to partner with the Actors’ Fund of Canada and support our fellow industry colleagues who have fallen on hard times.”

The Actors’ Fund of Canada is the lifeline for Canada’s entertainment industry. Through its Film and Television Relief Program, the Fund will help hundreds of film & television industry professionals recover from illness, injury or other circumstances causing severe economic and personal hardship in 2015.
