IATSE Local 873 has been a steadfast supporter of The AFC for many years.
With over 3,400 members, IATSE Local 873 represents Ontario film and television production technicians who work in various departments across the industry. IATSE 873 members work in Costumes, Craft Service, Greens, Grip, Hair, Lighting, Make-up, Props, Scenic Paint, Script Supervision, Set Construction, Set Decoration, Sound, Special Effects, Transportation, and more.
IATSE Local 873 is committed to the promotion and growth of the region’s film and TV production industry by providing a highly-skilled workforce.
Every year, IATSE 873 supports The AFC with quarterly per capita contributions, and in 2019, they stepped right up and increased their contributions from $8 to $12 per member per quarter! Their annual contribution will come close to an incredible $120,000 by the end of 2019.
“It’s important for our members to know that The AFC is there to provide a lifeline to them in times of crisis,” said Joe Fraser, IATSE Local 873’s former Treasurer. “Our quarterly contributions, along with our annual fundraising initiatives like the Ronnie Bonney Dingle Golf Tournament, help fuel The AFC’s important work and ensure that members of our industry are valued and supported. I encourage you to help your community by contributing to The AFC today.”

The 8th Annual IATSE 873 Ronnie Bonney Dingle took place on September 21, at the Rolling Hills Clublink golf course. The tournament is named after three construction members who left us too soon: Ron Bunt, Rob Bonney, and Doug Ingle.
This year’s tournament welcomed 128 golfers who had a fantastic day on the course! Thank you to all the participants and the tournament sponsors – your support helped raise $13,099 for The AFC!
