Top Five Reasons to Participate in The AFC’s Demographic Survey

The AFC wants to hear from all Canadian union and guild workers in the theatre, film and TV industries! We have created a short online survey to help us learn more about the community we serve and develop new ways to help in the years ahead. The survey  – “Financial Health in Canada’s TV, Film and Theatre Industries” – closes on August 11, 2017.

Here are just a few reasons why you should participate in this important research.

1. The AFC has been helping entertainment professionals since 1958

We’ve helped more than 12,000 entertainment professionals stay in their homes, put food on the table and keep their lights on.

2. To plan for the future, we need to get a whole picture of the workforce today

We want to learn where people are working, what they do and how they are managing their finances, so that we can make sure we’re well equipped to continue providing industry workers with financial assistance for decades to come.

3. A more comprehensive understanding of the workforce will help us develop new programs

By learning more about the community we serve, we will be able to create programs and services that will be meaningful and helpful.

4.YOU are the only way that we can learn about our unique and widespread community

Industry publications tell us how well the industry is doing, but don’t tell us about the people who make it run. To get the information we need, we need to go to the source – and that’s you.

5. It’s a quick and easy way to support a charity that supports you and your colleagues

The survey is fast, it’s anonymous and by filling it out, you are helping The AFC ensure that it’s a strong lifeline for the whole entertainment industry for years to come.
