Reel Friends
Make a REAL difference for Tomorrow. Become a REEL Friend Today.
The Reel Friends Voluntary Payroll Donation Program is an easy way to make regular donations in support of The AFC – the lifeline for Canada’s entertainment industry. Donations are tax-deductible and will be debited from your paycheque at the percentage and for the period you specify. A tax receipt will be issued at the end of each calendar year.
The AFC provides compassionate aid to help Canadian entertainment industry professionals maintain their health, dignity, and ability to work. This year, hundreds of your colleagues and their families will receive assistance with rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, money for groceries and other basic living expenses during a critical period.
By joining the Reel Friends Plan you become part of a community of people who have come together to show their support for their colleagues who are facing difficult situations.
Payroll donations are small, so you might not even notice them week to week, but you can feel secure in knowing that your donation will have a big impact. Whether you sign up to give .5% or 3% you will know that, together with your community, you are working towards a better future.
The AFC believes by supporting the health and well-being of arts and entertainment professionals, the industry as a whole will benefit. In a sector in which employment can be unpredictable, it’s good to know that a caring community has your back.
